Injectable Fillers
JuvedermTM, RadiesseTM, and Sculptra®
Injectable fillers can restore fullness, enhance lips, and provide a smoother contour to the face.
JuvedermTM is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Your healthcare professional eases Juvederm injectable gel under the skin to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Juvederm is also injected to create fuller lips.
RadiesseTM is a substance that may be used to fill in wrinkles and lines. Radiesse is made up of microscopic calcium particles suspended in gel. This is a safe material and it has proven to be very compatible with the body. Unlike collagen it does not require an allergy test, and lasts one year or more.
Sculptra® is an enduring treatment approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, in people with human immunodeficiency virus. It is the first FDA-approved product of its kind for this condition.
